Pride Month is a busy time of year for all of us at Project Open Books. Between attending Pride Events, fulfilling individual book requests, and facilitating author read-alouds, there’s no shortage of work to be done. You can help!
This Pride Month, we’ve four different ways that you can support Project Open Books:
Become a recurring donor. All of the work that we do is possible through grassroots fundraising. Individual and small business donations allow us to regularly fulfill book requests and complete school-wide donations. Even a small recurring donation of $5 per month will help us offset our operating expenses, and a donation of $25 will help us fulfill one book request per month, including shipping and handling costs. All donations are tax-deductible.
Donate a book. Each Pride Event we attend, we are able to donate 30-50 LGBTQIA+ affirming books, which can quickly deplete our physical library. Check out our Amazon wish list to help us restock and provide more inclusive literature at future events.
